COLEMÊRG - With the quiet retreat of the snow in the Şivişk Valley of Welto village, nature has started to breathe again.  With this sacred awakening, inverted tulips, popularly known as ‘Guldexwîn’, are meeting the soil. With their dazzling beauty, they revive the colour and spirit of the valley and the joy of spring.

In the high mountains of Kurdistan, one of the rarest miracles of nature is coming to life again... In the Şivişk Valley of Welto village, 45 kilometres from the centre of Colemêrg, on the slopes of Sebiran Mountain, inverted tulips, also known as Guldexwîn, the harbinger of spring, bloomed with their dazzling beauty.

These special flowers, which survive for only 15 to 20 days near the border line of Southern Kurdistan at an altitude of 2800 metres, adorn the valley like a colourful poem emanating from the heart of nature.

This unique species, which is under protection, has become a favourite of both nature lovers and photographers.
